The variety of Windows laptops out there is almost endless. Unlike Apple, Windows operating system is featured on thousands of different products in different sizes with different specs. We’ve got it narrowed down here to three of the most popular brands that each offers a wide selection of Windows laptops.

Acer is a Taiwanese company that’s been around since 1976. As of 2015, they’re the 6th largest computer vendor in the world.
Founded in 1989, Asus is also a Taiwanese brand. They’re the 4th largest vendor, specializing in notebooks and ultraportables.
Lenovo hails from Beijing, China. Founded in ‘84, they are the number one personal computer vendor in the world with 19.8% of the market share. Number two, three, and five are HP, Dell, and Apple respectively.

All three of these companies have some excellent models on the market. That’s not to say that every laptop they make is a 5-star masterpiece, but all three of them are well regarded. Here we’ll compare three products from each and see which brand makes the best all around laptop computer.

For entertainment, the ThinkPad T470s can’t quite match the specs the other two high-performance laptops offer, but it does perform quite well. It’s snappy as it should be for its high price tag, but if a UHD screen is important to you, choose one of the other two. Otherwise, this is a fast machine with good specs that includes a fingerprint scanner.

The Aspire is one of Acer’s most popular Ultrabook models. The touch screen matches well with Windows 8.1. With an aluminum body and Gorilla Glass screen, this ultrabook is lightweight yet tough. At less than 12.9 mm, it’s an incredibly thin laptop with very decent performance. Value wise, it’s not the greatest bargain on the market regarding specs, but it is still a very good option for mid-range Ultrabooks.

The Lenovo LaVie Z 360 is one of the lightest notebooks in the world. At just two pounds, it weighs about the same as an average hard cover book but packs a snappy 5th gen Core i7. The LaVie is an NEC (Japanese company) and Lenovo partnership product. It features design from both manufacturers and presents a relatively original hybrid product due to its mix of features from each company. As a result, the keyboard set up is somewhat unconventional and can be hard to get used to. The LaVie Z 360 can be used as a tablet as well as a laptop and is quite thin and easily portable.

Specs:

 • 5th Generation Intel Core i7-5500U Processor

This computer offers some basic features at a very good price. The Cloudbook is by no means a state of the art laptop, but it offers considerable value for the money. It weighs only three pounds and has a very long lasting 12-hour battery; this is due to its low voltage processor. For battery life and value, this is a fantastic budget option.

Specs:

 • Intel Celeron N3050 1.6 GHz
 • 2GB of DDR3L RAM
 • 64 GB hard drive

For a marginal increase in price, you can get a pretty nice upgrade. This laptop’s specs are somewhat reminiscent of what a top of the line laptop would have looked like a few years ago, which isn’t a bad thing. For the price, this Asus is a great value buy.

MSI GT72 – A Real Gaming Dominator http://reviewtech.info/msi-gt72-a-real-gaming-dominator/ http://reviewtech.info/msi-gt72-a-real-gaming-dominator/#respond Fri, 20 Mar 2015 19:28:07 +0000 http://reviewtech.info/?p=261 If you are looking for the most powerful notebook for gaming, you have just found it, this is the MSI GT72 - giving you the best notebook performance ever.

The post MSI GT72 – A Real Gaming Dominator appeared first on Review Tech.

If you are a gamer or you are somebody who likes fast notebooks, this model will be obviously interesting for you. MSI has shown full domination over all competitors when it comes to notebook gaming with this model, because of the great specifications it has. Let’s have a short look at the specifications of this model and see yourself why it is totally dominating it’s all competitors.

The display

The display is a standard 17.3” Full HD anti-glare one. Thanks to its GPU I am sure this notebook can easily handle up to 4 Quad HD monitors, if you dare.

The GPU

The GPU is the nVidia GeForce GTX 880M having 8GB GDDR5 video memory. Playing games on ultra resolution is not a problem this notebook has, as well as handling multiple Quad HD monitors.

The CPU

The CPU is as expected the latest Intel 4th generation one with up to 3.4Ghz per core. The processor is powerful enough to run every task and command you give to it, so you should be as well expecting no lags during the daily tasks on this notebook. In combination with the great amount of 32GB DDR3 RAM, running heavy multiple applications is not something that would slow this device.

I personally didn’t expect this great amount of RAM, but it seems that MSI has really decided to be the #1 leader in gaming notebooks.

The hard drive

The MSI GT72 comes with the 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD which gives you enough space to install any game or application. The 1TB hard drive is running on 7200 RPM which makes it a little bit faster than the usual 5400 RPM HDDs you would see on the most notebooks nowadays.

With the great RAID 3 possibility this notebook offers, I think that the performance this notebook will offer is really going to be outstanding and uncomparable.

Extras

Some of the extras this laptop is coming with are for example the Blu-Ray Disc Reader/Writer. The standard extras like SD card reader, web camera, USB 3.0 ports and HDMI are also here. The keyboard has backlight though and also we can see the “Dynaudio Premium Speakers” on this notebook which are really great.

The cooler system of the notebook is the Cooler Boost 3, a high efficient dual cooling system that will keep the notebook cool, even if rendering videos and playing Crysis 3 at the same time.

MSI GT72 Review

Conclusion

Honestly said this is one of the most powerful notebooks I’ve ever seen and the possibilities it brings are almost unlimited. The design could be better though, but I understand that for such power you need space and can’t make the notebook so thin. The price of the MSI GT72 is not low at all, but as they have no competition, they can freely put a higher price.

With this model I think we are all convinced that MSI fairly deserves #1 place for gaming notebook manufacturers. As a proud owner of the MSI GE40, I would like also to add from my personal experience, that the build of the MSI notebooks comes with really high quality.

We think that those models are the most suitable for gaming laptops.

The post 5 Notebooks for the ultimate gaming appeared first on Review Tech.

]]>
Notebook gaming is not something new, it is a growing tendency and I think we already know that. Asus, MSI and maybe Acer are main competitors in the battle of the notebook gaming. There are some other participants, like the Alienware and Razer Blade models, but the notebook gaming is currently ruled by two notebook manufacturers – MSI and Asus.

Why? Both of them have a lot of gaming notebook models, Asus has the Republic of Gamers, MSI has the G gaming series. Both of them also organize a lot of gaming events, competing who will attract more gamers and buyers.

I decided to write this article and show you 5 ultimate notebooks for power gaming, so if you are a gamer, you may be interested in what’s following. The price is not going to be a factor at all, just to bear that in mind. Also the 5 notebooks I am going to mention down are absolutely not in any order, but for me, they are one of the best laptops for really ultimate gaming without any lags or any performance problems at all.

Asus Republic of Gamers GL771

The Asus Republic of Gamers GL771

Asus has released a really powerful notebook for gaming with some cool specifications. With the latest 4th generation i7 CPU and 12GB ram, in combination with the nVidia GeForce 860M, this notebook is showing outstanding performance to the gamers.

Having a 17.3” FullHD display, this notebook from Asus suits perfect for a lot of gamers. There are some more powerful notebooks out there, but the design of this one is obviously a good one.

MSI GT70

MSI GT70

This is another really powerful notebook, this time from MSI. MSI is known as a gaming leader and here it proves it again.

The notebook has 4th generation i7 CPU as well, a really powerful GPU – the nVidia GeForce 970M with 3GB memory. The ram this notebook has is usually 16gb, but supports up to 32.

The display is the same as the one we see in the Asus GL771 – FullHD 17.3”. The only disadvantage of this notebook may be its design, as it is not that light or beautiful, but having in mind the technical specifications, lots of gamers ignore this.

Acer Aspire V Nitro

Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition

In a previous article I showed how awesome the V Nitro Black Edition is. This is one of the best models for gaming from Acer, though it’s technical specifications are not outstanding if we compare it to the both notebooks I just mentioned.

Having an 17” FullHD IPS display and 4th generation Intel Core i7 as expected, this notebook gives really good performance. In addition you have 8GB of ram and the nVidia GeForce 860M with 2GB memory, which is also giving you smooth performance while gaming. What I like about this laptop is its design, I will say again that its hardware is not really outstanding, but the design of the device is a really good one – slim and beautiful.

Razer Blade Pro

The Razer Blade Pro

You didn’t think I would miss this one, right? The Razer Blade Pro is one of the most famous gaming notebooks on the market. For me personally, this notebook is even better than the Alienware 17” one. Though the technical specifications of this device are similar to the Acer Aspire ones, the Razer Blade Pro is another notebook with great thin design, making it perfect for gaming and work.

With 16gb ram and up to 512gb ssd, also with the 4th generation Intel Core i7, this notebook deserves its place in my top 5 for gaming notebooks.

MSI GT80

MSI GT80 – The ultimate gaming notebook

Ever wondered what really good technical specifications are? Take a look at this gaming monster – with the GeForce 980M SLI (8GB VRAM), this notebook makes the alienware and razer blade pro models look cheap.

This super gaming notebook has 18.4” display with FullHD resolution, 32GB DDR3 Ram and of course, the best 4th generation Intel Core i7. The disadvantage here is that the laptop weighs almost 5kg.
The design of the MSI GT80 is not bad at all from outlook, though it is a fat device with cheap plastic. But still if you are looking for ultimative gaming with 3 4K Monitors, this is the notebook you need.

Conclusion

The gaming notebook trend has changed a lot recently, as there are more and more monsters like the MSI GT80 coming out there. For the best gaming experience, I recommend choosing a notebook with design you really like. Most of the gaming notebooks are already capable of running any game you would want, why choosing a heavy 5kg notebook for this?

In my opinion, these 5 are the best gaming notebooks on the market, as we can see the MSI GT80 has blown everyone with its technical specification, while the Razer Blade Pro and the Acer Aspire one have great design and are lightweight.

Acer released the Aspire V Nitro series which will make your dreams come true.

The post Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition – Low Budget Gaming appeared first on Review Tech.

]]>
Are you a gamer searching for a new cheap gaming notebook? Acer released the Aspire V Nitro series made for low budget gaming. As we all know Acer has always produced cheap and high quality laptops, and now the V Nitro is not an exception.

The notebook models come in two sizes – V15 Nitro (15” display) and V17 Nitro (Full HD 17” display). The price for the V15 version is fairly low – less than 900 euros, the V17 version is just a little bit more expensive, as it has full hd resolution display. Here is a closer look at the specification of the notebooks:

Display

The display is the main difference between the two models, one of them (V15) is with a 15” display having the 1366×768 resolution, which requires less performance and in aspect of power saving is better in my opinion. But if you are searching for a good gaming experience and are able to give 50-100 euros or dollars more, the full hd version (V17) is the recommended one.

Both models have matte displays, but only the Full HD version has IPS, which is a little bit disappointing.

Performance

The performance of the notebook is definitely outstanding, as the target of these models are the gamers. The Acer Aspire V Nitro comes with Intel i7 4710HQ cpu, reaching up to 3.5ghz in turbo mode! Awesome, huh?

The GPU of the laptop is a powerful one – the nVidia GeForce GTX 860M with 2GB GDDR5 memory, which is a true dream for the notebook gamers.

Both the cpu and gpu do great job, in addition the 8GB DDR3 ram makes sure that the multitasking is problem-free.

Both versions are with SSD, which gives us smooth and fast OS & gaming performance.

Design

Acer Aspire V Nitro Black Edition DesignThe design of this notebook is the thing I really liked from first sight. The laptop is light – less than 2.2kgs, slim and also having super cool keyboard light as you can see in the picture. Well there are lighter notebooks, but having in mind that this one is for gamers, I think Acer has done good job with the design of this model.

The conclusion

To conclude, I would say that for its price, this is maybe the best gaming notebook available on the market at the moment. The design, including the light in the keyboard, is just one of the things that make this device so special. The CPU and GPU of this laptop are just outstanding for it’s price, there are a lot of other expensive laptops that offer even 3rd generation i5 processors for this price, that’s why I am sure that Acer Aspire V Nitro models beat the competition in this price range.
