The Desire line from HTC gets updated once again, this time with a couple of less features from the Desire Eye. Let’s see them in this quick review.
Design
HTC continuous the very good look and feel of the Desire line. The two tone color design looks very attractive and it comes in multiple colors. You will get a smooth polycarbonate body with a soft touch ring which is the second tone of the two tone design. And you also get a beautiful glossy back. On the left side is located the dual-SIM slot. The 3.5 mm audio jack is located on the top. On the right side are the volume up and down buttons and the power button. We feature here the boom sound speakers, which are essentially invisible on the front.
Display
The display is 5.5 inch Full HD screen with resolution 1920×1080 pixels getting 401 PPI and with this it looks quite great. HTC has done a great job for the LCD screens and continues with 1080p display here.
Specifications
It is bumped up with the Snapdragon 615 which is an octa-core 64-bit processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and microSD card expandable up to 128 GB. There will be LTE support for this and we don’t know what carriers will come to.
Camera
It is equipped with 13 MP shooter on the back is now backed up by a 4MP UltraPixel shooter on the front. This is a good idea for the front camera because selfie takers are more interested in looking good in the picture and the low-light performance of the UltraPixel technology will probably make most situations easy for those users.
Software
Another big improvement for this phone is to see HTC Sense with 5.0 Lollipop. This feature brings to the HTC Desire 826 all of the different elements that you expect with Sense on top.
Battery
Here we have e decent 2600 mAh battery which is a small step up from the HTC Desire Eye.
Conclusion
It is save to say if you had a Desire device before the HTC Desire 826 will not feel very different, but there are going to be enhancements across the board and allows it to stand out on its own. The two tone color on the Desire line is something that most other phone lines don’t really do.
Nonetheless it’s a very good looking device and it feels nice in the hand.
