Huawei Watch – the android watch that beats its all competition

Maybe not everybody from you has heard of the new Huawei Watch – a new android watch released by the chinese company Huawei. With it’s viral trailer also shared from 9gag.tv, the new Huawei Watch literally puts Apple, Samsung, Motorola and LG into its small pocket.

I have to admin that Huawei has started producing some high quality phones in the mid-low budget class – the Huawei Mate 7 or Huawei Honor 6. Together with the release of the Huawei Watch, the value of the company has really increased and it will be no surprise if the next Google Nexus device is going to be manufactured by Huawei.

But what is so special about this android watch? The short answer of this question would be just watching this youtube video.

Design and size

The watch has 11.3mm thickness by 42mm diameter, which is great for such device. The colors this watch is available in are silver, black and gold – the most stylish colors for a watch nowadays. The material of the watch is 316L stainless steel and the watch is also made to be scratch proof.

The round design of the watch is what really makes it special, it fits into people’s requirements – stylish normal looking and smart watch. This is also why I think this device will be successful.

Display

The display is fully round, 1.4 inch and is AMOLED. With resolution 400×400, it reaches 286 PPI, which I think is a great result for such a small display.

Cpu

The processor of the device is the quad-core Qualcomm APQ8026 running on 1.2ghz. Nothing special, but quite good CPU for such device. Also with 512MB ram, I think the hardware of the device is powerful enough to run everything on its operating system (for now).

Operating system and extras

The operating system is the well-known android wear and there are some extra sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope and heart rate sensor. One awesome extra is the bluetooth 4.0, which increases the opportunities for software development and device communication. Also not to forget there is a tiny microphone built-in.

The last thing I forgot to mention is the battery, the battery of the android watch is 300 mAh, which should be enough to power the device, bearing in mind its not so big display.
