Microsoft surprises us lately by releasing really cheap smartphones. The Microsoft Lumia 430 is one of the cheapest new smartphones on the market right now – under 100 euros or 70 dollars. The technical specifications this device has are nothing special, but it is really surprising that Microsoft has targeted the low budget market and are releasing so cheap smartphones.
One special feature of this smartphone is that it is dual-sim and its Windows Phone 8.1 OS which is planned to be upgraded to Windows 10. Let’s have a closer look at the specifications of this device:
The smartphone does not have a quad-core cpu unfortunately, but comes with a dual-core one with a frequency of 1.2Ghz. It is interesting as well that they use the Adreno 302 as a GPU of the smartphone. The Microsoft Lumia 430 has also 1GB Ram and supports up to 128GB microSD cards, which extends its small 8GB internal memory. I would say that these features are not bad at all, as the phone is one of the cheapest at the moment.
The camera is not a good one, but still it is something – 2mpx main and a VGA front one. Nothing special, but it is still there.
With a 4” display having the resolution of 480×800 pixels, this cheap smartphone gives quite good picture and from personal experience I can say that most of the Lumia phones perform really well under direct sunlight.
Why this smartphone?
A lot of you would ask yourself why you should choose this smartphone. Yes, it is cheap, it may be slow, small screen and even with the disgusting Windows Phone OS, but I would say that this is the perfect phone gift for your kid for example.
Also not to forget is that the device will get the Windows Phone 10 update, which will bring some great featured to the smartphone and I am also sure that Microsoft has prepared a lots of stuff. Though I am not a Windows Phone owner anymore, I can assure you that the quality of these phone is really high, especially the displays are really strong, which is a big factor for a lot of people when choosing a smartphone.
To conclude I would shortly say that Microsoft makes a big comeback with its budget Lumia smartphones and I am sure that Microsoft will increase its smartphone market percent. For a price of under 100 euros, I would say that this device is totally worth it and pretty beautiful.
