Soon to be announced (20 May this year), this ultra-thin smartphone will change our minds about how good a smartphone can fit in our hands. It is claimed to be just 4.85mm thick, which breaks a lot of records in the mobile devices. The technical specifications are officially available, here they are:
- 5” display having Full HD Resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4
- Mediatek MT6795 64 bit chipset with octa-core CPU working on 2.2Ghz
- GPU: PowerVR G6200
- RAM: 3GB
- Internal memory: 32GB
- 20MP camera and 8MP front one
- 2320 mAh battery
As you can see, this phone will have 64 bit chipset architecture, allowing it to use more memory. Smartphones started using 64 bit, which means they are all planning to have more than 3.25GB RAM. The phone looks really good, though the pictures available now are just renders and we will be able to see the phone after the 20th of May.
What I must admit is that this device will be really beautiful and if it reaches the claimed thickness, this will change the way users think about their smartphones and how they will hold it, as everybody is used to 8-11 mm devices. Bearing in mind that this phone is expected to have a price under $480 in USA, and maybe lower than 400-450 euros in Europe, I would say that this device is not that bad.
