Hailing from Taiwan, Sager is a subsidiary of Clevo. Sager is known in Asian markets for making affordable gaming laptops, but Sager has broken through to international markets over the past few years. If you’ve never heard of the company before and you’re interested in buying a new gaming laptop, you’ll be pleased to see how cheap some of their high performance notebooks are considering the impressive specs they come with.

In this sager laptop review, we’ll show you three of the best and latest models so you can judge for yourself what you think about Sager’s products. Below are some of the most highly recommended Sager options on market. For an affordable machine with high-powered gaming capacity, check these out.

NP8155 Notebook

Sager NP8155

As the cheapest of Sager’s four 15.6” notebooks, the NP8155 is a great option if you’re on a tight budget but need something that can still measure up against the online gaming competition. It’s customizable, but its stock setup is:

•    7th generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ
•    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB RAM
•    8GB DDR4 RAM at 2400MHz
•    1TB HDD
•    IPS full HD 1080p matte panel

You might be wondering if 8 GB of RAM is enough for your gaming needs. 8 GB is enough for pretty much any game, but if you want to have process running in the background, like if you wanted to remain logged into Skype and keep your browser tabs open, 16 GB of RAM would allow you to do that without affecting your gaming performance. With 8 GB of RAM, you would have to close out all other apps in order to play your game at full capacity.

The NP8155 is very slim at only 25mm. Performance is quite snappy and although you won’t be able to play the latest games of the highest graphics settings, you’ll still be able to get a very solid playing experience with this machine. All three of these Sager gaming laptops are preloaded with Windows 10 Home 64-bit and come with a color keyboard and fingerprint reader. You can adjust the specs for any model right on Sager’s website.

NP9152 Notebook

Sager NP9152

This is the fastest and most loaded of the 15.6” Sager laptops. The NP9152 is stacked all around, featuring:

•    7th generation Intel Core i7-7700K
•    G-SYNC Full HD 1920 x 1080 IPS matte display
•    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
•    16GB DDR4 RAM
•    256GB SanDisk X400 M.2 SSD and 1TB HDD
•    ESS SABRE HiFi audio DAC speakers

From the high quality display to the incredibly powerful graphics card, this beast of a notebook has it all. The speakers are quite a bit better than the ones in the less expensive NP8155 model. The body is thicker, but considering the specs, it would have been impossible to squeeze all of that into a 25mm body. Considering the price, this is an excellent value laptop.

NP9873 Notebook

Sager NP9873

The NP9873 is the best performing laptop that Sager makes. Even a step up from the extremely fast NP9152 model, the NP9873 has enough power to allow you to play the latest games for years to come. It’s also customizable. Its specs are almost the same as the NP9152 except for these key upgrades:

•    17.3″ 3K QHD, 120Hz 5ms matte display with G-SYNC
•    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB GDDR5X
•    16GB Dual Channel DDR4 RAM
•    Killer DoubleShot-X3 Pro with Smart Teaming

Needless to say, the QHD display makes a great difference. The additional 2 GB of graphics memory should allow you to play any game currently on the market with maxed out settings. The NP9873 is an awesome laptop with an amazing display and a very comfortable keyboard.
