Smartphones are called “smart”, because they do much more than just calling another phone. Playing games, watching movies, doing all kind of stuff is nowadays possible with the smartphones on the market, but when it comes to business, the things might look different out.

For a smartphone to be defined as a business one, for me there are two really important things to look for – design and software. Hardware, octa-core cpu and super big camera sensor are not that important if you are a true businessman looking for a new smartphone.

Design is important, because as a businessman you would communicate with people a lot and I am sure you don’t want an ugly or cheap phone to ruin your vision as a person. The software of the smartphone is the second important thing when choosing a smartphone for businessmen – you need the right applications to enhance your productivity and do your business stuff. In that case I would rate Android and iOS as most suitable OS for business smartphones, as they have much more software in the app stores than any other OS. Before Android came out, BlackBerry was a leading smartphone manufacturer for businessmen, but now things have changed. The five smartphones I am going to mention and shortly review now are the best business smartphones available in the market for now. The order is descending.

iPhone 6

iPhone 6

I think this is no surprise for anybody, the latest model of the Apple iPhone has always been a first choice for all businessmen. Why? It is expensive, it has a really good design and perfectly fits into the vision of a good businessman. The most popular business software for analysis, offices and any other kind has application for the iOS, so there is no compatibility issue here and you can do your business stuff properly on this device.

HTC One

HTC One

HTC has released a really beautiful and stylish smartphone with metal body, which grabbed the attention of lots of businessmen. The smartphone has Android, so there is everything you need about your business as a software available on your phone. This model is a perfect example for a business smartphone – doesn’t have always the great hardware, but has one of the most stylish looks of all Android phones for now.

Sony Xperia

Sony Xperia

Sony is also known for designing really beautiful devices and I think a lot of you will agree that the Xperia series are one of the most beautiful smartphones now. The Sony Xperia Z2 and Z3 have really classy outlook with the glass surface. The screen is pretty big, which is also a factor a lot of people doing business bear in mind. With Android installed on the phone, you will have no problems doing your daily business stuff.

Samsung Galaxy Note

Samsung Galaxy Note

With a really big screen and the S-Pen, the Samsung Galaxy Note has become a choice of many businessmen looking for a new smartphone. Samsung has lots of apps that increase daily productivity and this has made the Galaxy Note so successful and a favourite choice of many business people.

BlackBerry

BlackBerry

Long years this brand has been the top choice for business phones, though I am not quite sure how smart they would be, but I must admit that I’ve seen really a lot of people in costumes with this smartphone. Whether it is the Curve or Bold model, they are both BlackBerry, and BlackBerry will be remembered as a business smartphone. Most models have hardware qwerty keyboards, but now BlackBerry has started releasing touch screen smartphones to compete the others.

Conclusion

The standard for business smartphone is changing, but the factors stay the same. The iPhone is an obvious winner improving the business image, but more and more businessmen tend to take a look at the Android smartphones who also offer great devices with really beautiful design, as well as the bigger app store from Google.

If you are more “techy” guy, I would recommend buying an Android phone like the Xperia or the HTC One, just because they give you more opportunities, but if you need a good design and you are into the Apple’s infrastructure, the iPhone is for you.

BlackBerry is for people who need a qwerty hardware keyboard and write e-mails often, that’s why this smartphone is still used so much from businessmen.
