Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet Review

On the mobile world congress Sony has introduced the new Xperia Z4 tablet – a device having really good specifications, with hopefully not that high price. The Xperia tablets have been known for their great thin design and IP68 certifications, allowing them to be hold under water for a limited amount of time. Well Sony didn’t disappoint us this time, the future has been kept and the tablet now has even better technical specifications. The design of the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet is not changed much, but I am pretty sure a lot of people find it beautiful and thin enough.

As a previous owner of the Sony Xperia Z tablet, I could say that for its time, this was the most beautiful tablet and I had fun time playing with it under water. Let’s have a look at the technical specifications of the tablet.

The display

The display is 10.1” having resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, which I think is great for this size. With 299 ppi pixel density, the IPS LCD screen gives really good picture.

The cpu

The tablet is powered by two quad-core cpus, one with 1.5Ghz frequency and the other one with 2.0Ghz. Both cpus give a great performance of the tablet and I think that the Xperia Z4 tablet is one of the first tablets with two quad-core cpus.

Together with the 3GB of ram I think the performance of this tablet would be outstanding comparing to the other android ones.

The gpu is Adreno 430, which is one of the best current gpus from Adreno.

The camera

The camera is a standard one, no surprise here unfortunately, only 8MPX main, but 5MPX front one. This is maybe the only disadvantage of the tablet – poor camera.

Extras

The tablet supports microSD up to 32GB and should come with the Android 5.0 Lollipop. The battery is not removable unfortunately, but it is 6000mAh so it should be enough for daily use. Also the tablet has microUSB v2.0 and the LTE version supports only nano-sim cards.
